Eligibility Criteria for Interested Students 

The AIIMS MBBS eligibility criteria contain all the mandatory requirements to be fulfilled to sit for the examination. 

To sit for the AIIMS Exam 2021, a student should be a minimum of 17 years in age. Additionally, the interested candidates should mandatorily have an aggregate sum of 60%. This aggregate of marks should be inclusive of significant subjects like Biology, English, Chemistry, and Physics. This aggregate should be a result of the 12th class boards or equivalent.

AIIMS Exam Day Guidelines 

The MBBS AIIMS Exam 2020 guidelines are a comprehensive bundle containing the dos and don’ts, pros and cons, that will help you maintain better and neat conduct while sitting and attempting the paper. Having proper knowledge of the guidelines will help you in avoiding any last-minute hurdle and last-minute trouble. 

Here is something essential for you to note. Any appearing candidate who shall be found guilty of debarring the exam instructions will be canceled and won’t be allowed to appear for the exam. So, it is suggested to be extra careful while following the instructions. 

Here is an elaborated list of guidelines that are mandatory to follow in the form of a protocol on the AIIMS exam day. 

It would be best if you had a valid AIIMS admit card to write the examination. Additionally, you should carry one identity proof. It can be your PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, license, passport, or anything of a similar sort that shall work.

You have to carry one colored photo of yours on the exam day to the AIIMS PG exam centers. The picture should be a recent one. 

Next is quite a general instruction, but still, you should make sure that all the details like the spelling of your name, house address, and the exam center address, along with the reporting time for the examination, are clearly stated and followed.

Ensure that you are reaching your examination center in time - at least 15 minutes before the prescribed time. 

Here is a tip for you. Try and visit your exam location 2-3 days prior to the exam day and plan your commutation and other things in advance. 

All the appearing candidates who are specially-abled should also try and reach before the stipulated time to avoid any issue at the last minute. 

As far as the dress code for AIIMS Exam 2017 is concerned, there are certain formalities that the students are expected to follow.

Usually, the exam is conducted in June, and the aspiring candidates are expected to wear casual summer clothes.

Candidates are expected to wear either slippers or sandals with low heels only.

No thick-soled footwear is allowed. Closed footwear like bellies and shoes is not permitted in the NEET examination centers across the country. 

Students are not allowed to wear light-colored clothes that have half or long sleeves.

Ensure that your clothes do not have large buttons as it is not permitted as per the official statement released by the conducting agency.

All the students who wear specific religious attire should reach the exam center at least 1 hour before so that any mandatory frisky checking completes in the prescribed time and you don’t get late for the exam. 

AIIMS Exam Instructions 

Here are some important instructions for aspiring candidates for the AIIMS exam. 

1. The exam is computer-based. Hence, for the candidates who are zealous enough to bag a good rank, it is vital for them to familiarize themselves with the exam pattern and environment. 

2. Make sure that you are paying attention to the question, answer, and section sequence that is displayed clearly on the computer screen. 

3. For saving the selected option, you should click on the ‘Save’ button. There is another option for ‘Review’ available, and if you select that, it won’t be selected. By the end of the paper, if it still remains as ‘review’, the question shall not be evaluated. There is no automatic option to save the marked answer for such a response. 

4. There will be questions that will require you to do rough work. So, for your rough work, instead of scribbling at the back of your answer sheet, make sure that you are using the extra sheets for rough work provided at the AIIMS exam centers. 

About the AIIMS Exam Pattern 

For a better attempt, it is suggested to all the aspiring candidates to have a better hand at understanding the AIIMS exam pattern.

The AIIMS is an online exam that can be taken in English and Hindi Language.

There are 200 questions in the paper that have to be completed in 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The questions are MCQs, reasoning, as well as, assertion-based.

The candidate will get one mark for each correct option that is selected, no marks that be provided for any unattempted question, as well as, 1/3rd mark for each wrong answer will be deducted.
