Chapter 01: Matter its nature and Behaviour.

The first unit involves a discussion of the separate state of matters. The units are explained below:

  • Nature of Matter :
  • This section comprises the matters related to colloids and suspension. It also includes homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures. Nature of matter explains the topics related to element compounds and their mixtures.
  • Particle Nature and basic units :
  • This unit comprises four specific topics: the law of constant proportions, molecules, mole concepts, and atomic masses.
  • Structure of atom :
  • Structure atoms deal with valency, protons, electrons, neutrons, isotopes, isobars and important chemical formulas and their compounds.
Chapter 02: Organization in the living world

This unit elaborates explicitly on the tissues, organs, and organisms of all living beings, and it starts with the essential functions and compounds of cells. Further, it also explains the properties, organelles, membranes and cell inclusion in detail.

Later this unit deals with the critical biological diversities and their basic classification. Apart from discussing the major groups of plants, unit II comprises the health and disease of the living things.

Chapter 03: Motion, force, and work

The most important part of unit III comprises the rudimentary ideas of uniform circular motion, distance, displacement and velocity. The next section deals with force and Newton’s Law which calls serious attention to the students. Apart from the detailed definition of these laws, Unit II covers the major topics like gravitation, floatation and the important correlation between work, energy and power. Next comes the reflection of sound and the nature of sound.

Chapter 04: Our Environment

This section is comparatively smaller than the other, and it focuses on plant and animal breeding. It also covers the importance and methods of organic farming, correct use of fertilizers, and teaches the right way to protect the plants from pests and disease.
